Medijazz
A creative and Mediterranean jazz quintet who aspire to make jazz attainable to the general public with explosive rhythms, sounds and original innovations. This project is a collaboration between precious, talented, and well-known musicians. An adventure of harmonies and great interpretations, crossing French, Italian, English songs. A unique experience bringing together memorable songs from all times, newly arranged, and produced by Atilla Sereftug, embracing a slightly impressionist and avant-garde side, offering a wide musical palette of songs: Latino, bossa, funk, and compositions. This quintet is an ultimate sound enjoyment for everyone, sailing through a world of sounds and beauty in a metamorphosis of musical colors. Jazz may sometimes be difficult to gasp for some yet flies high.

Daniela Simmons
Daniela Simmons is not only an Italian jazz and pop vocalist, she is a musician whose voice above all carries the compositions and thrives in their interpretations. Both ends join softness and strength, passing through a clever mix of musical styles influenced by pop, R&B, jazz, and instrumentals.
Her first album « Shout Back » was produced in London in 1988 by Nigel Wright and opened doors for her to have an international career that took her to Australia, Canada, the United States, and many countries in Europe. Productions in French “Pour Qui” and Italian “Un’altra Donna” followed.

Ludwig Wittgenstein
In 2014, a recording with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra was a unique musical experience where she sang melodies from many famous films. This opportunity led to her singing soprano alongside two other male performers in “Aventia Crooners”, a work rearranged and produced by her husband Atilla Sereftug.
Her first jazz album, « Jazzed with a Certain Note« , was released in 2018. In her musical journey, she returned to her roots in « The Woman at the Piano » and found her true vocation as a composer with « Silly’s not Allowed« . But later, we saw her flourish on the jazzy notes of « Mister Levo » by Aycan Teztel and « For You » by Arnaud Francelet/Atilla Sereftug. Her new single was “Come Petali” written by Askin Arsunan. Later, she composed Mother, an instrumental piece returning to her classical roots.
The characteristic voice, crystal clear and dynamic, is always in search of her musical facets, of which one is her Latin temperament. When Simmons sings a song, it’s not a simple interpretation but her personal, her original way to shape it in her own way. Her voice is possibly one of the most brilliant of all Swiss singers.
Atilla Şereftuğ
Atilla Sereftug, jazz pianist, born in Istanbul, known to the general public as a composer of international stature. It was he who first recognized and discovered Celine Dion. Composer of the title « Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi » sung by Celine Dion in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1988 winning 1st Place. The song was an international success and a springboard for Celine’s career as well as for Atilla as a producer.

Attila Şereftuğ
1986 was his first attempt at the Eurovision Song Contest where his title « Pas pour moi », performed by Daniela Simmons, won 2nd place. Atilla Sereftug’s career began very early, at age 13, he was already a professional pianist and arranger. After completing his studies at the Istanbul Conservatory, he entered the Jazz scene with several orchestral groups. He arrived in Europe in the 1970s and collaborated with several artists from the worlds of Pop, french and german music as producer, composer and arranger. Atilla Sereftug produced, arranged.

Attila Şereftuğ
Francis Coletta
Francis Coletta was born in Marseille on the 28th of October 1957. He received right from the beginning an education in classical guitar and then played in different classical, jazz and pop music orchestras. Amongst others, Francis Coletta played with Michel Legrand, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Sarah Vaughan, Paul Anka, Tomm Scott, Joe Sample, Alex Acuna, Randy Brecker, Niels-Henning Orsted-Pedersen, Joe di Francesco, Alvin Queen, Reggie Johnson, George Robert……

He also accompanied on tour many French pop singers as, for example, Michel Berger and Michel Fugain. German musicians also benefited from his art when he played in such groups as the Pepe Lienhard Band, Udo Jürgens, Catarina Valente.
Actually he’s teaching at the Music Conservatory of Fribourg, as well as at HEMU Jazz Lausanne (Switzerland). He takes part in many recording sessions as arranger, producer and musician. He plays regularly at concerts and festivals.
Recently at Montreux Jazz Festival for Quincy Jones 50th anniversary celebration with : Pepe Lienhard Big Band, Al Jarreau, Patti Austin, Jon Batiste, Rashida Jones, Sunny Levine, Alfredo Rodriguez, Jacob Collier, Grace, Simply Red.
Arnaud Francelet
Arnaud Francelet was born in Freiburg/ Switzerland. His love for music began in his early childhood. At the age of nine, Arnaud joined as bassist in the band of his brother for the first time. With his bass instrument, he could fully develop his creativity. At age 12, he gained his first experience with studio recordings as a rock band member and in that time created his first own compositions.
After studying at the Bass Institute of Technology in Los Angeles Arnaud Francelet works as a composer (Francelet / Moser, Paraffine, Volver, and many more) as an electric bassist and double bassist in various formations (from duo to big band and classical to jazz & electric) and as a music teacher.

Fred Bintner
In addition to complete studies in Music (1st Percussion Prize at the Paris Conservatory, 1st Prize – DEA and CESMA Ecole Dante Agostoni deParis, Master in Musicology – Sorbonne) Fred rubs shoulders with artists from various musical horizons with whom he is regularly in concert: Raï Baba Salem, China Moses, the Nubians, Fribourg Jazz Orchestra, Bonny B, UP Wilson, Lucky Peterson, Boney Fields and the Bone’s Project.
He is also a professor at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne / Fribourg and prepares currently his album

It was as part of the “A Certain Note” project and more specifically for the album Jazzed that Daniela Simmons (lead vocals) and Atilla Şereftuğ (piano/keyboards), joined by Patrick Perrier on acoustic and electric bass, Gonzague Ruffieux on drums (with additional percussion on “Che sarà”), Batu Şalliel on tenor and soprano saxophone, Aycan Teztel on trombone, Tolga Bilgin on trumpet, Raphaël Pitteloud on percussion, and James Healey delivering the intro rap on “At Last,” brought our entire studio repertoire to life.
Recording, mixing, and mastering were handled by Gonzague Ruffieux and Atilla Şereftuğ at Castle Life Recording Studio in Fribourg, Switzerland.
The album was produced and arranged by Atilla Şereftuğ.
